Fashion photographer
A person who specializes in taking photographs of fashion for advertising or editorial purposes to appear in magazines, trade publications, catalogs, press kits, Internet, and elsewhere. Among the best-known fashion photographers are Richard Avedon, Louise Dahl-Wolfe, Steven Meisel, Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, and Bruce Weber. Some photographers, in addition to taking the photographs, will also write fashion stories for publication. Bill Cunningham of the New York Times is an example of a photojournalist.
